I am a biomedical engineer. I recently defended my PhD thesis at the Radiomics Group at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), where I studied CT-based habitat imaging to quantify tumor heterogeneity in colorectal liver metastases.
I am currently on a career break exploring the problem of health data infrastructure: specifically, why clinical data that already exists doesn’t reach research, and whether giving patients agency over their own data could change that. Actualmente estoy en una pausa profesional explorando el problema de la infraestructura de datos sanitarios: concretamente, por qué los datos clínicos que ya existen no llegan a la investigación, y si dar a los pacientes mayor control sobre sus propios datos podría cambiar esta situación.
